Tree-Free's paper is made from Kenaf, a 4000 year old crop with roots in ancient Africa. This wonder fiber is related to hibiscus and is a cousin to cotton and okra. Currently grown in the southern U.S., Kenaf rises to heights of 12-14 feet in less than 6 months, uses no harmful chemicals in processing, and is fully recyclable. The USDA chose Kenaf from over 500 plants to replace trees in the production of paper. Kenaf is grown here in North America - bringing income to farmers and preserving our forests.

Instead, the inside is beautifully printed in a lighter version similar to the envelope back.
